Privacy Policy
Summary
MyWeb has no backend of its own. Your scripts, settings, and history stay in your browser. The only data that leaves your device is what you send to the AI provider you configure; that flow is described below.
What is stored locally
- Your user scripts and styles, in the browser's IndexedDB.
- Your settings, including the AI provider and API key you configured.
- Chat history from the in-extension AI chat.
This data lives on your device. It is never sent to us.
AI providers
When you use the AI chat, your messages are sent directly to the provider you configured (for example, Anthropic or OpenAI) using your own API key. Those requests do not pass through any server of ours. The provider's own privacy policy and terms govern that data.
Permissions
MyWeb requests broad host permissions so it can run user scripts and styles on any site you choose. MyWeb itself does not read or transmit page content. Any script you install or write runs with those permissions, so review what it does before enabling it.
Analytics and tracking
None. The extension does not contain any analytics, telemetry, or tracking code.
Donations
If you support the project through Ko-fi or GitHub Sponsors, those platforms handle the transaction. Their privacy policies apply to anything you share with them.
